Lock, stock and surplus, shooting equipment manufacturing factory

3 min read

The Corby-based factory of a shooting equipment manufacturer is up for auction, with production machinery, packaging equipment, vehicles, racking, office furniture and more.

The site, previously used to manufacture clay pigeons and shooting equipment, is one of our latest industrial factory auctions.

The catalogue includes equipment from every part of the operation, including Scania trucks, Toyota Tonero forklifts, an ABB robot arm, Endoline box closer, Grove Automation stackers, conveyors, compressors, pallet racking, workshop tools, office fixtures and packaging materials.

The factory clearance is an excellent opportunity for start-ups, scale-ups, and diversifying manufacturers to acquire a wide range of equipment from the factory floor to the boardroom.

The catalogue is live now and bidding ends 12 June from 11am.

Design icons from The Berkeley Hotel head to auction

3 min read

esign lovers and connoisseur collectors have the chance to own a piece of The Berkeley. British luxury hotel operator, Maybourne has once again partnered with NCM Auctions for an exclusive online sale of luxury furniture and fittings from its landmark Belgravia hotel.

The auction includes standout pieces from The Berkeley’s famous Blue Bar, with bespoke Ben Whistler furniture designed by Robert Angell, hand-crafted lighting by Dernier & Hamlyn and premium bar and restaurant fixtures. Items from other parts of the hotel are also available, including Life Fitness gym equipment.

Originally designed by David Collins and later reimagined by Robert Angell Design International, The Blue Bar has long been a destination in its own right, celebrated for its vivid Lutyens blue interiors, hand-crafted detailing, and curated contemporary art. Now this iconic collection of sofas, chairs and lighting is being made available to the public.

It’s a rare chance to pick up designer furniture with an unrivalled pedigree, many of which were made to order for one of London’s most iconic hotels.

This is the latest collaboration between NCM Auctions and Maybourne, following previous successful auctions for Claridge’s, The Connaught and earlier phases at The Berkeley. Together, they’ve helped keep thousands of high-quality pieces in use. A sustainable approach that supports the circular economy and reduces waste.

These are beautiful, well-crafted pieces with a story. It’s a great example of how sustainability for the hospitality industry doesn’t mean compromise. It means extending the life of luxury design. We’re proud to be working with Maybourne again to give these iconic pieces a new chapter.

Amy Rutherford, Partnership Lead at NCM

Whether you’re refitting a boutique bar, furnishing a studio, or just looking for a one-of-a-kind centrepiece for your home, this auction is full of rare finds with character and provenance.

Interested bidders can view the catalogue online and register now. Bidding ends 11 June from 12pm.

Poundland clears shop fittings in sustainable auction

3 min read

Poundland is clearing the shelves at its West Bromwich Re-use Centre, but not in the usual way.

The high street retailer is working with NCM Auctions on a series of exclusive auctions to clear surplus shop fixtures and fittings from its Re-use Centre.

The first auction includes a variety of new Eden Retail store gondola units and associated accessories and holders, display cases and stepped display units, shopping baskets, Lavor floor cleaners, mobile steps, pallet trucks and much more.

It’s a practical and rewarding move that reduces storage costs and avoids landfill, while supporting smaller retailers and independent businesses with access to quality retail equipment.

The project is part of Poundland’s broader efforts to reduce its operational carbon footprint by 50%. By reselling and repurposing surplus assets instead of scrapping them, the business is taking real, measurable steps with far-reaching results.

Emma Humble, Head of Partnerships at NCM, said:

“This is what circular business looks like. It cuts waste, keeps equipment in use, and supports other retailers in the process. We’re proud to support Poundland as they lead by example.”

Part one of the Poundland auction is online now and bidding ends 28 May from 11am.

Second chance for House of Fraser Lincoln store fittings

Second chance for House of Fraser Lincoln store fittings

3 min read

The contents of Lincoln’s former House of Fraser store are set for a new lease of life in a no reserve auction. Giving businesses a chance to access quality retail fittings at a fraction of the cost.

Located on the High Street, the store has a proud retail history dating back to the 1800s. Established as Mawer & Collingham before being acquired by House of Fraser in 1980. It rebranded as department store Binns and traded under that name until 2003, when it became House of Fraser. The store has undergone multiple refurbishments over the years and was saved from closure in 2018. It is now confirmed to close its doors for the final time this month.

The online auction has a range of retail fixtures and fittings, including display plinths, mirrors, disco balls, product tables, racking, clothing rails and more.

This is about more than just clearing a store, it’s about reuse, recycling and making surplus fixtures available to others who need them. Whether you’re fitting out a shop, gallery or workshop, this auction is a chance to pick up high-quality items affordably while promoting a sustainable approach. The auction also supports regeneration by helping to clear the site quickly, making way for new businesses and future uses for this prominent High Street space.

Francesca Scholes, Partnership Lead at NCM Auctions

The auction for the former House of Fraser Lincoln store is live now and bidding ends on 15 May from 1pm.

Viewings will take place on 14 May by appointment only. To book call the NCM team on 01302 898260.

Those interested can browse the catalogue and register to bid online.

Purchase Premium Gym Equipment at a Fraction of Retail Cost

3 min read

As national gym chains continuously upgrade their facilities, fitness fanatics have unprecedented access to high-quality commercial equipment at drastically reduced prices via our gym auctions.

Whether you are assembling a home gym or running an independent fitness studio, our exclusive online auctions present a fantastic opportunity to acquire commercial-grade equipment at significantly lower prices.

Commercial Quality, Consumer Prices

Picture this: a £5,000 commercial-grade treadmill engineered for intensive use is available for less than £1,500. This isn’t just a great deal or amazing value – it’s an opportunity to access professional gym equipment that was previously out of reach for many buyers. These machines come from reputable national chains like Everlast Gyms and have been well maintained.

Commercial-Grade Performance

When you purchase from our gym auctions, you invest in equipment that has been designed and manufactured to withstand continuous, heavy-duty use. Each piece has undergone regular maintenance and features robust construction that surpasses that of typical consumer fitness equipment.

Why Equipment from Gym Chains Stands Out

National gym chains typically rotate their equipment every two to three years – not because it’s worn out but to uphold their cutting-edge image and services for their members. This practice creates an excellent opportunity for savvy buyers, as the equipment often remains in near-pristine condition, benefiting from professional maintenance schedules and well-managed gym environments.

Financial and Environmental Benefits

Choosing pre-owned gym equipment offers significant cost savings while reducing manufacturing waste. This sustainable approach extends the equipment’s lifespan and represents a smart investment that benefits both your wallet and the environment.

Upcoming Auctions

Are you looking to transform your workout space with commercial-grade equipment at unbeatable prices? Look no further than our latest no reserve auction from Coach Gym in Leeds. This exclusive opportunity features premium fitness equipment available at auction prices, with no minimum reserve – meaning every item will sell to the highest bidder.

Don’t miss your chance to elevate your workout space with commercial-grade equipment at a fraction of retail prices.
