Delivering maximum return and social impact for Dominvs Group

Dominvs Group recently acquired a 115-room, East London hotel that held many high‐value assets, including the hotel bar, restaurant, conference facilities and a cinema room.

NCM Auctions were approached to clear the hotel and release value from surplus assets before its redevelopment.

With a strict deadline to work too, NCM had just ten days to catalogue, market, auction and clear the building.

NCM worked around the clock to build the sale catalogue and launch a targeted multi‐channel marketing campaign across traditional and digital channels.

With the online auction simulcast across four platforms, NCM provided global reach with over 7,100 bids throughout the auction and 82% of all lots sold.

NCM was also able to demonstrate the many environmental, economic and social benefits that Dominvs Group actioned by sustainably disposing of their surplus assets before the hotel’s redevelopment.

Emma McSkelly, director of NCM Auctions commented:

It’s full site clearance projects like this where NCM really stand apart.
We have the team, infrastructure and bidder networks in place to be able to operate within the tightest of deadlines without hindering the performance of the auction and still delivering maximum return for the client.

Dominvs Group were really keen to understand the social and economic impacts they facilitated by partnering with us. While the financial return is an essential factor, this kind of responsible and community-driven approach is a refreshing change.

We wish Dominvs Group the best of luck with the hotel’s redevelopment and very much look forward to seeing how we can help them in the future.
