Contents of former Debenhams Glasgow store

The iconic city centre store on Glasgow’s Argyle Street was home to Debenhams and previously Lewis’s Department Store before it closed in February 2021.

NCM has been appointed to clear the store as part of the first phase of redevelopment for the St Enoch Centre, which will be transformed into new offices, restaurants, homes and a hotel.

The no-reserve online auction is live now and includes retail fixtures, branded merchandising units and concession stands, catering equipment, racking and much more.

Alex McCormick from NCM Auctions explains:

“This auction has seen considerable interest from smaller businesses, independent retailers and charities who regularly buy from our auctions. Giving them access to high-quality retail displays, fixtures and catering equipment at a fraction of the cost of sourcing new items.

Seeing these buyers using our auctions to help grow and scale their businesses is great. At the same time, we’re helping clear space for new retail and leisure offers as part of an exciting redevelopment in the city centre.”

The auction for the former Debenhams Glasgow store is live now, and bidding ends on 18 January from 1pm.
