As the festive season fast approaches, the NCM Auctions team will be taking a well-deserved break to enjoy the Christmas celebrations with their loved ones.

Please note that our offices and warehouse will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve and reopen at 9am on Thursday 2 January 2025.

To all our incredible clients and bidders across the globe - we thank you! As we draw the curtains on our twelfth year in business, our continued year-on-year growth has been extraordinary, and we couldn't have done it without your fantastic, loyal support.

NCM Auctions is experiencing significant growth, and we are proactively preparing for future expansion through a comprehensive development strategy. The cornerstone of this initiative is our ambitious plan to more than double our existing warehouse storage capacity.

This infrastructure expansion represents more than just physical growth - it’s a strategic move to solidify our position as a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation capable of meeting the evolving demands of our industry and our valued partners, such as the Frasers Group.

The NCM team continues to expand as the company grows, and we have almost doubled our headcount with many key hires throughout the last 12 months. We have invested in our sales and marketing team and strengthened our finance and customer service departments to become a more agile organisation to help us improve the day-to-day service we provide our clients and customers.

Our turnover is at a record high, up 63% from the previous year, demonstrating the magnitude of the growth journey we find ourselves on. This last year has seen us reinforce our market-leading position in the plant and machinery, and education sectors. We have fully demonstrated our sector-agnostic ethos and broken into new verticals, which will fuel our future growth aspirations.

We are very proud to report and share a healthy sell-through rate (STR) of over 80% throughout 2024, which is well above the auction industry standards. A recent project for our valued client, The Bike Club, saw us dispose of 99% of their assets in an online auction. Results like this underscore our commitment to delivering superior asset disposition services.

We’ve transformed asset disposal from a logistical challenge into a value-creation opportunity by combining market expertise, extensive buyer networks, and a commitment to sustainable practices. Our holistic strategy ensures that each asset receives optimal evaluation, turning potential waste into valuable resources and delivering tangible financial and sustainable outcomes for our clients.

Our client’s sites are cleared quickly, and assets are sometimes sold and reused overseas. We generated over £500k in revenue for a client planning to send their assets to landfill! A fine example of our ability to practice what we preach was a large warehouse clearance project in Accrington for Studio (now part of Frasers Group), where we achieved a significant six-figure sum for redundant print embroidery machinery.

Another highlight of the year was the impressive turnaround for the Office Depot. We lotted, catalogued and sold their assets in just ten days, demonstrating our versatility and commitment to going above and beyond to get the job done for our client.

We also sourced an overseas buyer for an entire factory site clearance for Glen Dimplex, and we continued to cement our strong relationship and delivered further asset disposal services for iconic clients such as Claridge’s.
