Owning a piece of music history

Owning a little piece of Music history. Item's belonging to the late David Bowie and Prince were auctioned yesterday at auctions in the U.S. One of the favourite guitars belonging to Prince, his Yellow Cloud Guitar and a lock of Bowie's hair fetched $150,000 - (£100,000). The guitar was bought for $137,500 by the owner of the American Football team Indianapolis Colts, and the hair, which sold for $18,750, came from a former employee of Madame Tussaud's in London who had used it to recreate the music icon's 1983 hairdo. Sometimes auctions have some poignancy to them, but then again, owning a little something that belonged to a musician you admired is part of keeping their music legacy alive.
